If osmanthus were not a scent, but a piece of fabric, what would it feel like to the touch? This was the question I kept pondering while creating "Velvet Osmanthus." In the end, my answer is Velours—velvet.

Osmanthus is truly fascinating. From afar, its scent is clear, sweet, and golden. Yet when you draw closer, you discover that the floral aroma conceals hints of fruit, tea, and even a texture resembling leather, perhaps related to its open-air environment. Therefore, this time, I didn't just focus on making osmanthus smell more like osmanthus; what I wanted to capture was its "texture."

Golden osmanthus and citrus first form a bright golden hue, complemented by a beam of cold-light-like aldehydes—resembling light falling upon the surface of velvet. As fingers gently graze across it, the nap shifts direction, causing the gold to flicker between bright and dim. Following this are velvet, tea, and leather: the petals are soft, the tea is dry, and the leather is that deeper, darker texture hidden beneath the sweetness of osmanthus.

Finally, I left only musk and cashmere wood, allowing the floral notes to gradually hug the skin like a velvet garment worn all day long, retaining the warmth of a human body even after it has been taken off.

What I wanted to create has never been just a single osmanthus blossom, but that soft, golden expanse of your imagination when you reach out to touch it.

ICP — Imagine Creating Perfume

If a story could be smelled, what would it scent like? Perhaps the damp stone walls of a city after rain, the unpainted wind within a painting, the lingering resonance hanging in the air after a piece of music ends, or perhaps a memory that suddenly resurfaces years later. These fleeting, unpreservable moments became the genesis of ICP's creation.

We are a perfume house centred around imagination, acting much like a travelling author, wandering between cities, art, culture, music, architecture, and literature, bringing back the stories and emotions encountered along the way, and rewriting them through scent.

Thus, we rarely just ask: "What does this perfume smell like, and what are its notes?" Instead, we want to know: "What does it make you think of?"

Because we believe that what truly completes a perfume is not just the perfumer, but also the person who happens to catch its scent. The exact same fragrance might remind someone of a city they have never visited, prompt another to recall someone they haven't seen in a long time, or allow someone to catch a glimpse of another side of themselves within it.

And so, perfume is no longer just perfume; It begins to hold a story.

If you were to imagine ICP as a place, we hope it resembles a library of scents, where every fragrance is a book waiting to be opened. Some are written about travel, some collect myths, some originate from paintings, music, and history, while others record emotions so elusive even we struggle to put them into words. And what we do is simply write the very first page using scent. The rest of the story is left for your imagination to complete.

In the future, ICP will continue to walk among different countries and cultures, To feel, to explore, and to leave behind our own olfactory footprints. Because there are still too many stories in this world Waiting to be smelled.
